The perfect cup of coffee
(NC)â€"Making the perfect cup of coffee, with its wonderful mix of aroma, taste body and colour can be a challenge, but it is not impossible. Here are five steps to help you make the perfect cup of coffee.
1. Ensure you have the correct coffee-to-water ratio.
2. Make sure you have the right grind of coffee for your coffeemaker.
3. Check that you are properly using and cleaning your coffeemaker.
4. Use filtered water. The better the water to start the better the finished product.
5. Select the appropriate brewing method. There are several choices including automatic drip, manual and French press. "Automatic drip coffeemakers have come a long way" comments Louise SauvĂ©-Nicholls of Hamilton Beach, makers of the BrewstationTM coffeemaker, "BrewstationTM is a revolution in the method of brewing and serving hot coffee since it replaces a carafe with one hand dispensing right into your coffee cup. It also has a thermal insulated tank that will not burn or scorch the coffee." Alternatively, a manual drip coffeemaker, although a little more time consuming, is great for one person. A French press pushes all the coffee grounds to the bottom of the container after soaking in water - this results is a slightly grainy texture to the coffee â€" sometimes preferred by the drinker.
Whatever your preference for coffee or brewing method, be sure to consume your cup in a special place for a great relaxing experience.
